Consistency is King

When starting any exercise program, there is one key factor that makes or breaks a person’s progress and that is consistency. How persistent you are with sticking to a plan and putting in the work will largely be the single most important factor to your success.  At The Trucking Fitness Company, we don’t measure progress by the number on the scale or how much you lifted. We look at progress by how consistent you are with sticking to your plan. We want you to focus on the factors that you can control.  When you do that, the rest will fall into place!

Here’s your task for today:

Look at your schedule and decide when you are going to exercise this week. Remember, the workouts are only 20-30 minutes long. If you need to break them up, you can do that too!  Ten minutes of exercise, performed 2 or 3 times a day, will yield more results than giving into the excuse that there just isn’t time to exercise.  All the exercises are all performed in, or around, your truck.  The challenge of trying to find a gym or specific equipment is gone.

Set your schedule.  Write it down on your calendar or somewhere that you’ll see it on a consistent basis.  You need to make this time a priority for you.  We know that there are going to be days that are particularly long or stressful, so come in with a plan and schedule your workout around it.  Focus on consistency.  Success will be measured by being consistent and completing the days that you have scheduled for your workouts.

Look at next week, set your schedule for the times you are going to workout, and then execute on it.  Doing this week by week, will produce the results that you are hoping for.
